Now Just What Is A Radio?
Doesn't seem like such a crazy question now does it? The traditional radio (AM / FM) markets are shrinking at alarming rate. Some auto manufacturers are considering eliminating traditional radios from their upcoming production cars. How can this be? Well....Broadband is now becoming an item offered inside cars and public broadband continues to expand. These facts have brought music to the forefront of the internet. Put the two together aaaand .....internet radio sites are gaining in popularity. Theses new radio platforms have similarities to traditional radio, but one thing that separates them is the convenience of picking your own music genres and song playlists! Much better than the old way of "you get what the DJ gives you! Another similarity are commercials. Yes.....the same commercials heard on traditional radio have crept in to new on line radio. This can be a great marketing tool for your company as well. Think of the thousands of people in your area that are listening to their earbuds or headphones right now. Having a big sale, on-site celebrity, or other event? Internet radio platforms are an excellent way to present these "special" events in the works for your company. Certain advertising works very well on the Audio / Radio platforms. Usually this consists of marketing that is happening presently or in the very near future. You wouldn't want to advertise a complicated procedure your company performs on an Audio ad. This example would definitely miss the mark: "Our company stands head and shoulders above our competition when it comes to turbine repair. We offer the best job using In line boring on turbine casings, cylinders and associated seal areas for upgrades and modifications (including fir tree blade root machining)" I don't know about you....but I don't know what the heck "fir tree blade root machining" is nor would I want to hear about in when I am listening to the best of Taylor Swift!
